Chapter Three

That weekend I stayed at home with Grace. I looked through our dictionary, but the word wasn’t there. It looked as though I would have to wait eleven more years until I could find out what it meant. That didn’t seem fair. Bonnie Mack knew what it meant. Or did she? Maybe she just knew the word was not a good word to say.
